Product description:

The Caboche floor lamp by Foscarini is designed by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto in 2006.Floor lamp composed by spheres of transparent polymetylmetacrylate ordered in a concentric layout, that multiplies the brightness of the central light source. A screen in white satinized blown glass guarantees maximum diffusion of light and prevents glare. A solid base is provided by the original design of the stem.

Sophisticated, brilliant and multi-faceted, the Caboche table lamp is a mosaic of refractions, a perfect fusion of various personalities within a single form, that combine to create the body and lighting effect of the lamp. The 189 transparent polymethylmethacrylate balls multiply the brightness of the central lighting source and being arranged with a characteristic ring layout, they allow strong lighting reflected off the ceiling and directed on to the surface below. The lighting source is a halogen bulb, whose flow is left free to illuminate all around: the upper matt white glass screen guarantees optimum diffusion of light upwards, and the lower screen has a concave form to shield the bulb and prevent dazzling, thus making Caboche ideal for use above dining room tables. Furthermore, despite its high personal charge, the lamps transparency multiplies colour combination potential, for use in the home or in sophisticated, exclusive public areas.
